Last night Brad and I went to a 40th birthday party for a good friend. It was hosted at Corner Wines in Plano, a boutique wine store located in Lakeside Market and one of my favorite places. If you ever need help buying a bottle of wine, need a nice gift for a dinner party or just a nice bottle of wine for dinner at home, stop by and visit Jim and Linda. It's also a fun place to host a wine tasting for any type of event, girl's night out, etc. They will take great care of you. For the last two years they have helped me select perfect wines to send to family for Christmas and they took care of the shipping and all the details.
After the party, Brad and I headed to Olea, a Mediterranean bistro, also in Lakeside Market. The food was great and it was a beautiful place. We had a variety of tapas, my favorite was the carpaccio and fresh arugula salad. I highly recommend it for your next date night or dinner out with the family. They had a great patio with fans and a fountain the kids would love.
From their we headed to the Shops at Legacy for some great people watching. From kids with ice cream all over their faces to girls in prom dresses and couples dressed up for a night out, we saw everything. We felt like we were enjoying one of those last precious cool nights before it gets too hot to sit outside.
Our evening would not have been possible without a baby sitter. Once again we turned to Seeking Sitters. I just want to give a shout out to their service. Our assigned sitter was sick and I got a very nice call from the owner notifying me of the change and telling me who the new sitter would be. The sitter was fantastic and my kids loved her. Great attention to detail and customer service is so important. More important is that my kids are happy, safe and at home. Brad and I came home to a clean kitchen and the playroom was all straightened up. What a nice way to end a perfect evening!
